Re: Swamp Buck Down
I know you put a lot of time and planning into hunting the swamp. It paid off! Some smart packing strategy there! Congratulations! The hard work made the hunt more satisfying. I was happy to see my scouting finds were on target. This secluded little wood lot is heavily traveled by the deer. Bill On...

Re: New Arrow Shaft from Black Eagle
Tyler,
The Penetrator shaft is what I would choose first for added durability if I was choosing between the Heartbreaker, Penetrator and Switchblade.
Its my personal use xbow shaft out of my crossbow and the stiffest offered from SSCA.

Re: New Arrow Shaft from Black Eagle
Tyler ^^ 2 versions of the Switch Blade were made. The SB in the current configuration available weighs 8.5 gpi. For reference, the Zombie is 9.1 gpi. One can play around with the FOC somewhat easier with a shaft featuring less grains per inch. The Switchblade shaft stiffness is suitable for both he...

Re: How do you keep your feet warm?
For those looking for excellent ALPACA socks got to Altera Alpaca socks ( alteraalpaca.com ). The Prevail over the calf sock is a really well made sock that any hunter could appreciate. My wife and I each own quite a number of socks from Altera because of their appreciated warmth features. Very warm...

Re: How do you keep your feet warm?
Since you are diagnosed with hypothyroidism, how about asking your doctor to adjust your thyroid meds to optimize
output during the cold months.
Thyroid meds come in a very wide range of strengths. It may be just a matter of med tweaking to optimize your T3 and T4 output at this time of life.

Re: How do you keep your feet warm?
A couple things I might suggest. First, battery heated insoles . If your feet sweat bring a backup pair of dry socks to switch out. Boot dryers between hunts make a big difference. Rubber boots with high insulation such as the LaCrosse Alpha Burly Pro 1600 gr is what my wife and I wear when it's dow...

I was given (2) 40% off one time codes from LACROSSE boots at the ATA show back in January 23. My wife and I each purchased a pair of Alpha Burly Pro 1600 gr at a smoking price this season using one of the codes. The first person looking for a smoking deal on a pair of Lacrosse boots please PM me fo...
