Re: What's your stand height
My lock on stands are 20-25 ft and most of my ladder stands 15 ft. I' still hunt mostly from lock ons with climbing sticks and Life lines. I still enjoy climbing high but I make sure I get hooked into my safety lines before climbing. This Saturday is opening day for archery so hopefully I'll get a c...

Re: This vortex doesn't disappoint
Great shooting I started out with a Vortex and later switched over to the Matrix 380 when they came out. The Vortex survived 2 dry fires from me learning to remember to load an arrow. The Vortex is one of the great ones.

Re: Need new string ???
Your string should be fine. I dry fired my 1st Vortex twice and luckily it didn't hurt my string or the crossbow. Both times I was preoccupied trying to get speed results from my chrono instead of paying attention to what I was doing. I would get a Flemish string for it if you don't have one.

Re: Scentblocker Bug Blocker
If it has Permethrin in it it will work just make sure to spray your clothes several days before you hunt because once it dries it becomes odorless. You can also go to Amazon and get the concentrated Permethrin and put in a spray bottle so you can do several sets of your clothes. I still have some l...
