The wooden stock increases the total weight by about a pound. However, the balance is much better, the perceived weight is lighter because most of the added weight is back at the butt end. This acts as a counter-weight to the extreme front-heavy crossbow, and makes it easier to shoot. I don't have a...

Different Crossbow Stock Design
Here's a photo of a stock I made out of black walnut. It's not as cool-looking as some of the stocks posted on this site, but it has a few unique features that some may find interesting:

Slick Tricks dull as butterknife
I got a couple of packs of Slick Tricks for Christmas, and I must say they are the dullest broadheads out-of-the-box that I've ever seen! The package says "Razor Sharp" on it, but I'd sure hate to try to shave with a razor like that! A number of folks have raved about these heads on this w...

What's the best rest for crossbow in treestand?
I find these crossbows to be awfully awkward in a treestand. Do any of you use a bow or rifle rest/holder device that works well? Right now I just hold on to it all day, but several times I've nearly dropped it. I hunt in a standard rifle-type stand (with the bar that wraps around the seat).

anyone use 125 gr slick tricks?
Does anyone here use the 125 gr slick tricks? I'm thinking of converting from aluminum bolts to carbon, and rather than add brass weights I thought I'd go for a heavier broadhead and get something for the weight. The 125 gr. has a 1/8" larger cutting diameter, versus the 100 grain. My only conc...
