A question for the accuracy nuts

While I would love to be able to put in the time to develop the skill to split the hairs on a gnat at 150 yards in a heavy crosswind, the truth is I don't have it right now. The best I can manage these days is to be good 'nuff for hunting out to 40 yards with confidence. Also, I drink too much coffe...

Re: 2nd limb crack Micro 335

I just got an email from Dawn saying the new limbs are thicker, and cracking issues should be a thing of the past. Excalibur saves the day again!

Re: Mixing limbs

Thanks for all your feedback. I'll give it a shot, no pun intended. Now I have to remember where I put that other limb…

Mixing limbs

Now that I've gone through two sets of limbs on my Micro 335, can I take the two unbroken limbs I have and use them as a spare set? Excalibur told me to toss the old limb sets, but I'm not a …ahem… tosser. Is there any danger to doing this?

Re: 2nd limb crack Micro 335

I meant 1/4" off the bumper, not riser, just for clarity.

Yeah, I'll definitely stick with Excalibur too, because the bows are amazing and because of the stellar customer service. Just had to vent to the choir before filling out my warranty request.

2nd limb crack Micro 335

I know that limb issues are kind of :eusa-deadhorse: , but I can't help but vent my frustration here. Several months ago my Micro 335 developed a crack in one of the limbs. Excal, of course, did the right thing immediately — customer service is amazing, and they have always done right by me. Those l...

Re: Safety Hammer

Thinking about this, I'd be reluctant to add an extension to the safety. The safety latch is designed the way it is for a reason, and adding an extension to it would increase the risk of accidentally knocking it off safety, IMHO. If you've got an old pair of winter gloves you don't mind destroying, ...

Re: Safety Hammer

Not sure about a hammer extension, but here's how I solve the problem: First off, I wear mechanic's gloves because they're designed to maximize dexterity. On the glove of my trigger hand I cut a hole in the end pad of the index finger and thumb, big enough that I can get the first digit of my finger...

Re: Bow Accident, What Next?

Here is a photo of a Scorpyd crossbow that had and ATV accident not long ago. It fell off the ATV while the hunter was crossing a highway and it fell of the rack and was run over buy a Semi truck on the roadway. https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/cd/67/oJboYlPU_t.jpg I can handle any number of photos of sl...

Re: One reason I own a Excalibur

100%. I live on an island and getting repair work would be a nightmare. Even if I lived next door to a pro shop, I still wouldn't see the benefit of having a crossbow with cams. I also like the fact that, space age composites aside, the crossbow I shoot is fundamentally the same technology as 1000 y...

Re: True Story

Humans do the same thing. I was at a bar one time and this big guy wouldn't take the hint that his advances on a young woman were unwelcome, so she went and stood next to a 300 lb. woman in bike leathers and forearms like a stevedore. They didn't even know each other, but the guy just sort of disapp...

Re: What’s the best replacement scope?

I'm not familiar with your bow or your scope, but I can say that I'm a fan of my Hawke XB30. I'm not sure the optics are as clear as some other options on the market, but overall the scope performs well. Personally, I would let performance drive your decision in regards to changing your scope. If wh...

Re: BOLTS CHANGING TRAJECTORY

Amazing video! That may explain a couple of my past hits. Deflection aside, I know that deer will duck to load their legs, and tend to roll away from the sound of the incoming arrow. If they roll away, the exit wound will sometimes be considerably higher than expected. The exit wound may also be fur...

How much time in the stand/blind?

Hi everyone. I'm just curious how much time you all commit to spending in the stand/blind before calling it a day? A few hours? All day? I'll spend anywhere from 1-3 hours, but I get lots of hunting opportunity. I know some of y'all have to make the most of a short season, so I imagine there's motiv...

Re: STEAMBOW.COM

They are using 2 Excalibur's It kind of took the place of the Parker Concorde . It would be great for Disabled/handicapped people to still stay in the game . Check on the price they are $850.00 and are made one at a time out of block aluminum . I would not mind trying one of them out as I am always...
