I looked @ many mounts on the net & I think they do look better with the extra feathers left on. So I did mine the same. Seems to hide the bare spot's @ the bottom of the tail.

Just finished my turkey mount. This was my first turkey & mount. It was fun to do & the HS Strut kit worked really well for $15.00.

The one I got this year did not make a sound. Heck I didn't even see it. Good thing someone else was paying attention. LOL

Last weekend I had a jake start to approah my decoys but turned & ran obviously didn't like my decoys or maybe it was me...

Wild Turkey breast recipe.

Turkey breast cut in serving size pieces
1 can cream of mushroom soup.
1 can of water
1 can of milk
1/2 can white whine.


Put in slow cooker on low for 12hrs.

Very tender & tasty...

Tried getting one of those stock'however they are not allowed to ship to Canada.....
