Believe it or not the stock on the gun is so well designed plus with a high end recoil pad I can shoot that gun more comfortably than my .270rayman wrote:20 rounds. Does your shoulder feel like that tree?

So I went up to camp last weekend to do some work and to tweak my 35 Whelen prior to bear hunting. Loaded the Whelen with 225 grain partitions at 2750 fps at about 3700 lb-ft. Deer Cane is essentially just salt(primary ingredient), baking soda, and flavour.
So you can buy a bag of water softener salt (50lbs for 4$), some baking soda and a few tins of apple juice and go to town.
