Re: serving life before breaking
You should get more. Check the hooks for burrs or sharp edges. Polish with 400 grit paper. Check your nocks, sometimes they have sharp edges also. Polish them as well. Also check that you are not "over cocking" with the rope cocker and pulling up into the trigger housing. Some housings hav...

Re: Palm Rest on Apex!
Well, it's not really that costly. I bought the bow from Danny after I told him just what I was looking for. I built the STS before it arrived, and the weight tube also. I initially shot with a back up target scope I use for 3D (never had to use it though). To be legal for NAA and NFAA, as well as o...

Re: O ring
If it is a neoprene o ring, and it wasn't the only one you had, take another and go to a good hardware store. They have an assortment of o rings. Bet you can match one up. I it was the only one you had, take a few measurements of where it goes and buy some that are close. Probably will find the one ...

Re: sts mounts
That is to hand serve the area where the string hits the bumpers. Basically making the center serving longer so bare string material doen't contact the bumpers.

Re: Palm Rest on Apex!
wide8, I do have one, just can show it yet! There are 2 stick on sensors that attach to your temples. The wires then connect to the trigger mechanism. When your brain says everything looks right, the arrow is released. It is proprietory at this time, and if I showed it to you well......you th...

Re: Palm Rest on Apex!
bdog, Depends on what organization you plan to shoot. For indoor, I have looked at the rules for NAA and NFAA. There are limits, but both allow palm rests, hooked butts. I have been making and experimenting with different rear peep apertures, front globes and inserts. I have made 5 sizes for the fro...

Palm Rest on Apex!
Doesn't this look GREAT! I think so. Haven't shot with it yet, but feels super. Thanks to my friend Gary for all his help with this project. I think it's a winner! I also added a hooked butt!
I MIGHT be done with mods now.

Re: Cross Border shipping
I sent a vertical bow to a buyer in Canada. Sent it standard mail. No problems what so ever. Buyer sent MO in US funds. No problem there either.

Re: Can't count to 5!
The inserts allow for more or less of the target to be viewed. It's nothing new, just a compound peep. Unfortunately, nothing commercially available that I could find. So a trip to the drill press, hack saw and file. Viola, I have one. This was made to be NAA, WCSA, NFAA legal where no magnification...

Ischa,
No, I knew where it went. Especially after hearing the distinctive telltale metallic tink! Knew I had just shot at the wrong spot! Tough getting old!

I'm not going to try that Scott. I do know for fact that Danny Miller did just that, a double Robin Hood. He has it in his shop.

Re: Can't count to 5!
Summer,
Negative. If I remember correctly, remember I can't count to 5, you can shoot all your arrows in any spot. This one scores an "X', just like the one it "centered". I think!

Can't count to 5!
This is what happens when you can't count to 5 and shoot number 5 arrow at spot 4! I pulled the other arrows because it made it difficult to get a clean pic. This was my first time out with the new front aperture I made with interchangeable inserts. Testing to see which insert I liked the best. Gues...

Re: My First Indoor 5 Spot
The 5 spot is shot at 20 yds, the FITA at 19 meters. The club I shot the FITA at still uses 20 yds, as 19 meters is 19.6 yds. There may be a discrepancy in the way they are scoring the FITA however, and if that is so, the 430 I scored Tuesday would be a 446-36X. I guess it really doesn't matter how ...
