A rifle is not used in a primitive weapon or archery season ! Many jurisdictions do not allow the use of scopes during muzzleloader seasons.

I was sitting this eve . and I can only shoot Does . In comes a BIG 8 pt. and a 6er they were there for about 10 min. all I could do is turn on the camera and watch them . and then the does come along and the bucks chase after them. O well maybe next time . I was just a nice hunt anyway just to see...

As some might say be careful what you ask for. In this case crossbows shooting silly speed, scopes better than your best rifle, rests to put your crossbow on for support, cranks so you don't have to draw it by hand and a commercial that says "you're next rifle" Places like Wyoming and Wisc...

I have 2 that size that I have been passing up since November knowing the big guy is still around but I haven't seen him the last 3 sits so I may just have to take a doe although I don't really need it for the freezer.

I always did the wrap in double saran wrap and then wrap in freezer paper usually doesn't last longer than a year anyway but no freezer burn. This year I bought a vacuum sealer to try out ! I have to say so far I like it way quicker to bag the meat than with the double wrap method.
