Not all vari-zones are created equal  Sometimes the velocity ring on the scope is just a little off. My Exocet with 2216's weighing 400 grains @ 294 fps require a setting of appx 287 (half way between 275-300). With carbons weighing minimum @ 310 fps it is set at 315 - 320 to be dead on. Actual...

Gary L. I checked my label for the date and it was yesterday (the 23rd) I printed the shipping label. I've never seen such fast service out of the USPS before, but let's not brag too much  Makes sense though, R.J.'s was shipped first, so it gets there last  Richard S. Send me an email if ...

I now see vibration dampening material in such things a recoil pads for guns. Wonder if Bill T ever though of trying it in the DB pads to see if it improved them any? PSE used/uses a vibration dampener on some of their limb bolts on some compound bow models. They simply replace the regular limb bolt...

Today I will sleep, cause the last week, I cannot (the bow was traveling to me...) Good to hear you are finally able to relax  It's good to be calm & patient (I'm often told), but it's never been one of my strong points either. Just remember to take the time to pull the first arrow from th...

Congratulations!
You have a fine crossbow in the Exocet. I've only had mine about a year and so it's performed flawlessly. Just had it out this evening and checked out for accuracy at 40 yards. Shot two arrows at the same bullseye and didn't robin hood them, but they were touching!

I think it might be the nocks. I've re-served a string and had my elevation change, so just a few thousandths of an inch on where the string contacts the nock can make a differance!

Forum Rules ??????

With all the controversy over deleted threads I'm wondering if we should stick to crossbow topics only. But the deleted thread, IMHO, wouldn't have gotten so personal and offensive if the guest hadn't appeared. We've become somewhat of a community here, with many of us forming new friendships. Is it...

Marmot, Yes, it is blackwood. One of my favorites to work with - great sound qualities (guess that's why they use it for bagpipes) and it finishes beautifully. I need a 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 6" turning square for a deer call if you want the same type wood for the body & reed assembly. I frequentl...

Gary L., I'm not so sure I disagree with you. This has always been an open forum for outdoor discussion with only a few profane or indecent posts by trolls being deleted. Perhaps it is time to move on if the moderator is taking such a negative view of discussing non-crossbow subjects, or perhaps we ...

finally got a few of the new deer calls ready for sale!!!!!!

As I posted earlier I have finally designed a one-piece body deer call I can sell for less! I've been busy, but now I have some ready to sell. All will have the same quality reed & extention tube included, but the prices vary with the cost of the type wood & finish used. A shipping charge of...

new broadheads and vanes - is it just BS?

It seems like I've been seeing ads for a lot of new broadheads & vanes that are designed to "steer the arrow from the front" or "add rotation to you arrow". I'm questioning why none of these adds make any designation of right or left hand. Seems to me if you had a right helic...
