Shakky, The simple method is to take a section of pipe (6" is good) and simply strap it to a tree with the botton a couple of inches off the ground. Fill it with feed (corn) and let gravity do the rest! A rubber "test cap" works fine on the top to keep rain out. I tried all kinds of f...

My experience: I had some G-5 "montec" broadheads that were hitting about 1" low/left from my field points at 20 yards, but grouped as tight or tighter than the field points. I kept reading how "slicktricks" shot "just like field points" on this forum, so I ordered...

Terry, I use HUT's adjustable reed. I know it's used in a few commercial calls, but I can't tell you which ones (not ethics, just forgetfulness  ) and it takes some initial tuning to get the dominant grunt sound right, but once tuned the rest are easy to change to. I think that is one big facto...

Deer call for sale (sorry, sold!)

I recently changed my deer call design to a one piece body. Same grunt to bleat sound range, same reed and extention tube, just a new easier to turn body design. The result - about a $10. price reduction for the new call for the same wood/finish combination as the old 2-piece body. This one is alrea...

gator, I sent you an email. Not hard to re-serve, but the serving tool and good serving will take an initial investment of around $50. A cheap tool and cheap serving can be had for much less, but unless you enjoy being frustrated it's not worth it! I have the tools & material, as I used to build...

Best wishes for Steve.
My worse injury seems small compared to his - 6 stitches & 2 broken bones on my little finger........ and I haven't put it in front of the string since!

This is the kind of post I hate to see. There is no way a person can put into words the emotion that is behind the words.
Wayne & Brenda, I sincerely wish you and your family comfort in this sad time. You, and your family, will be in my prayers!

That's a knot in the new wood on my picnic table. Dang wood on it only lasted about 40 years and I had to replace it this summer. BTW - the call pictured is red cedar. I didn't use any of my "premiunm" woods for my experiment  I should have some laminates, cocobolo, blackwood, and gr...

NEW model deer call !!!!!!!!

NEW "M-2" Deer Call (featuring a 1-piece call body!) I'm always experimenting with new designs that can produce the same quality in sound and appearance, but could be a little less expensive. This new 1-piece body deer call is just that! It's about $10.00 less for the same wood/finish comb...

Buy a .50 cal inline rifle that uses shotgun caps for ignition. Remington, TC, and Knight are great American brands. Traditions for imports. Gotta agree with Woodsman on this one! If you're new to muzzleloaders go with the simplest - most reliable models until you learn the process. Then if you wan...

I'm not certain, but I'd be suspicious of a T/C Renegade that was 3 years old. I don't believe T/C was marketing the Renegade then. It may have been available through the custom shop though. Now they've re- introduced it as the Renegade Hunter with a single trigger. The older model was esentially a ...

SOLD - laser rangefinder

Thanks - it didn't last long  I have a Bushnell Yardage Pro Sport for sale. http://www.bushnell.com/products/rangefinder/specs/images/20-0015_th.jpg It's been used by myself for two seasons now, in good shape, and works perfectly. I recently picked up a Nikon rangefinder which has more options ...

Red Label,
If you'd haul it down to southern Ohio I'd be interested at that price
I had a 17' canoe and it was just too bulky to easily transport. Sounds like the one you have would be great for one person to handle.
