I shot a 2-1/4" group with my T/C Omega this past weekend at 200 yards! I added a bipod to it and wanted to see if it had any adverse affects on my shooting. Apparently not  Of course this was off a bench rest, and with a Leupold 2-7x scope. BTW, I discovered if I use 100 grains pyrodex an...

Going through the pictures of the Shawnee Outdoorsmen crossbow shoot and found a good pic of Mark's crossbow with one of his custom stocks & it has stabilizers installed.

Looks like a good setup to me! Maybe Mark can give more details.

Looks like you have to put the cap and then screw on the cover? Yep, it is slower to load, but the primer is enclosed and you don't get any flash or fragments stinging your face. I usually snap a cap or two before loading to be sure things are clear & oil free. I frequently run a ramrod down th...

Looks like a keeper!
He will probably be around, but I'd plan on hunting hard and hunting early in the season before he goes into hiding.

Is there some new fandangled robo-turkey-decoy that lures them in and then grabs a hold of there feet so they can't fly away?
Now that wouldn't be completely sportin' - but I want one

Wombat, I'm using an old Sony camera with floppy disc or memory card storage options. It has settings for picture size that can be changed, and I use 640x480 (pixels) for most pics. One forum I moderate has a 600 pixel limit, so I store them online at PhotoBucket and can edit them there to further r...

The Bow Hunters of Alabama (BHA) vehemently opposed crossbows, while the general public was heavily in favor of the new weapon. Sounds familiar.... Problem is, when some members of BHA ran out of rational arguments (which happened quickly), they proceeded...... Gotta love it...... Thanks Wood...

Woodsman, If you're having ignition problems you might want to switch to 209 primers. I have one of Hubbard's mag-spark conversions on my T/C and it works! A little slow to load, but it is great and also is much cleaner and you don't get any sparks & cap fragments in the face. http://www.hubbard...

I switched to GoldTips which are 22/64 diameter but weigh about 250 grains fletched. With 100 grain tips that keeps you close to minimum, and I'm getting 310 fps out of the Exocet with them. I like them because they stay straight or break (or get lost :( ).

I've had about everything made at one time or another. I like flintlocks, but most production flintlocks leave a lot to be desired on ignition. For a caplock the Great Plains is a good choice in production rifles. T/C makes a couple (the Hawken & the Renegade Hunter) but they are 1:48 twist and ...

Feel like a traitor - voted Vixen & own Exocet  Actually, I think if more people had a chance to own & shoot a Vixen they would appreciate the ease of cocking and outstanding accuracy & balance. I owned a Vixen first, but wanted a little more speed fo hunting. The Exocet is a great ...
