I like the idea of stropping....How much stropping is needed ? So are you using the rough side of the belt...not the finished side ? I have some old belts laying around...I think I would like to give this a try...Can you get semichrome polish pretty easy? I have a jig with the files on it somewhere....

I have used it in the past but not much lately....If I remember correctly it was 400 wet or dry...and I used a light oil to lube the paper...it did a nice job...I was sharpening the G5 montecs with it...I have since received a diamond hone that G5 makes and I use it...I got it for a Christmas presen...

I think I have read here somewhere that all new Excalibur models use the same limbs...is that correct...
