I agree , usually deer pay very little attention to gut pile etc. But ... We have a large coyote population , and the gut pile brings extra coyote action , that spooks the deer out for a few days . Give it a few more days and all will return to normal .... At least thats what I have experienced on ...

I just received my Fall issue of HBM and found a great article written by Mike P called the grey face. There is a picture of Mike with the buck and the buck is HUGE! when i first got my excal i posted the same thing here on the forum....

if you are used to a quiet compound the excal sounds like a gun going off....

after a week of shooting the thing you seem to forget all about the noise as the arrow keeps hitting the bullseye......

sully i really like your signature.....

cocking any of the excals without the cocking aid just leads to poor shots from my experience as you just dont get the string centered as well.....
