Re: Cleaned Corn vs Regular Corn for Deer
I miss the day when Santa Claus parade was biggest parade in Toronto. Different parade here week from today. Million people on the streets too. Poor Santa Claus, not in fashion anymore, can't draw such a big crowd. I too would be probably lynched today in the middle of Church Street for this kind of...

Re: Cleaned Corn vs Regular Corn for Deer
If you ever come to Toronto and decide to have coffee in downtown Caffè DO NOT CALL bears pest or anything like that. Also don't discuss your meat preference aloud. Otherwise, that lynch with you as main actor would be broadcasted live on City TV. Thanks for info and picture. That tells me I c...

Re: Cleaned Corn vs Regular Corn for Deer
My concern is not so much if bears would do damage to the feeder, it's about the damage they could inflict on myself if I bump one or two of them in the dark :D . There is lots of bears in the area where I would use this feed Galamb mentioned. Corn doesn't work there. Last year I had a lots of pictu...

Galamb ,
Have you ever had bears coming to your feeder? Stuff you use contains molasses.

Re: 18" or 20" BEA Zombies for Matrix
Thanks for the insight Joe!
My choices of where to hunt are VERY limited. Don't have that luxury of playing the wind or anything else. If I see ANY deer close enough to shoot I am happy.
Now, I am hijacking other guy's tread and not feeling good about it, so I'll just wrap it up here.
Cheers!

"I hunted right until the end of legal light and was quite comfortable with a propane heater, a box of cuban cigars and a flask of scotch." Joe, Is that a way you do scent control? Just trying to learn from someone who is way more successful than I am. What I do is totally different. Proba...

Re: Texas Hog Hunt
That jacket IS sure pricey.Hunt it wrote:That jacket is King of The Mountain wool. Very good stuff, lasts a lifetime and there is nothing warmer than this high quality wool. Pricy stuff but worth every penny.
I am looking for something with similar pattern in snow camo, but less expensive.
Thanks for info.

Re: acorns falling = no deer at the feeder
Is there a way of preserving acorns for next year? I wonder if you keep them in a white feed bag same as corn would they spoil.
I bet there won't be too many acorns next year. On my oak trees they are plenty every three year or so, not so much in between.
