Re: A good home made target

I used the following which is a cheap an easy replaceable target option. I used cardboard fruit boxes that I get from No Frills (grocery store) from the checkout bins. The boxes I use are really well made and solid. Full size lid and matching bottom. When the lid is slipped over the bottom section o...

Re: A good home made target

I suspect you will find the carpet to be very abrasive to your arrows shorting their life. Or worst weaken the shaft to the point that failure could occur while shooting. Depending on the type of adhesive and carpet material that makes up the carpet combined with arrow speed could result in friction...

Re: Crossbow alignement

On mine all three are level to each other. You may want to review the video section for proper assembly an start over from the beginning. Remove the limbs and check all contact surfaces. Suspect one of the following: the two lips may not be in place securing the limbs flat to the riser. See time 3:4...

Re: crossbow recoil

I shoot a 7mm Rem Mag a quite a bit from a bench so anything else I do not really notice.
Will take note next time out with my Equinox.
The only thing I find that gets sore are my shoulder and forearm muscles from repeated cocking of the Equinox the day after a long shooting session.

Re: Peep Sight on Mount ? - Now with Picture (further down)

There are two holes on the Dry Fire Mount in the forward position. Could a peep be added there. or is hold down spring attached in this location so that the dryfire hook(s ) can have access to the string path.. Which may explain why the hold down flat spring appears to be longer on the matrix when i...

Re: New Dry-Fire Scope Mount ... Peep Sight Friendly ?

I see it as the others here do. It basically just replaces the original mount, but retains the safety mechanism preventing a dry fire. interested in the Idea as an interesting upgrade to my Equinox. The only question I have is how much more it raises the scope from the rail. In turn how it affects ...

Re: Is this really fair?????? Not to me.

sounds fair to me........ X2 I once hunted with a fellow who drummed his chest and ranted and raved all the time about how unfair it was that natives could hunt under special treaty rights. It turns out it was more about jealously and then fairness and conviction of belief. Because he discovered an...

Re: Matrix Strings

Jus a comment but i have noticed that Excal shows the optional Flemish Fast Flite string in all 3 of the Matrix catalog data ? Hmmm, I didn't see that. Will have to look. Thanks! I suspect that was an over site by some one when developing and proofing the Matrix Ad prior to release of the online Sp...

Re: Limb Vibration

The cocking of your bow should be more of a concern than weight. You could carry your quiver on your belt which would reduce the weight a bit. Also exercises to improve strength and stability around your shoulder are an essential part of your rehabilitation. You may want not want to hear this but yo...
