Re: Bad day / Good day

It sucks having to deal with insurance companies at times, and the hassle of having to drop your vehicle off (especially a truck if you use it) to be repaired. I will say this though, here is another silver lining that can potentially come out of a mild wreck that requires bumpers to be replaced. Th...

Re: Best Broadhead???

Hey did y'all know that Magnus broadheads have a lifetime, no questions asked warranty? Not a bad deal... I'm definitely going to have to get at least one set.

Re: Best Illuminated Nock?

Go with the Lumenocs or Ignitors. Both are good. I know Anthony loves his Ignitors. I have both but prefer the Lumenocs. Lumenocs are certainly easier to move from arrow to arrow as they don't require a separate insert. ....Ignitors are equally as easy to move from shaft to shaft if one uses the pl...

Re: Scope Decision Time

Depending on which crossbow I decide to keep, the Grizzly came with a "deadzone" and the Matrix 330 came with the varizone. I am leaning towards keeping the Matrix 330 honestly. One of my friends is itching to buy which ever I don't want (crossbow). Honestly both feel solid and the perform...

Re: Best Broadhead???

Your question is very nicely worded. However, so many factors are personal. Some BHs have extreme long range accuracy (FOC) , some are extremely durable, others are one use only (FOCs - get slightly out of line after a kill often), some are expensive, some work better on thin skinned animals, other...

Re: Scope Decision Time

You're in the US, so I'd call Danny Miller and see if he would be receptive to taking the factory scope and upgrading to a Leupold for some added coin. I had a scope failure and Danny allowed me to send in my defective Vari-zone along with a check for the difference in price to upgrade to Leupold. ...

Scope Decision Time

Ok, so I will be honest, I am a little nervous about using the supplied deadzone or varizone scope that will be supplied with the Matrix Grizzly and Matrix 330 (I bought both). I want to have this whole setup ready to go for hunting season, and I personally have decided I don't want to take a chance...

Best Broadhead???

This is a poll for just opinions... I have never used any of these but from my extensive reading others reviews, including some "professional" reviews, these seem to round up some of the best broad heads. I am sure I left a few out... feel free to list them below as well if your favorite i...

Best Illuminated Nock?

So I have been doing a little research on illuminated nocks and it seems all have failed at some time or another. From my personal research (but no actual experience), it seems the Nockturnal brand seems to be the most reliable based on amazon, cabelas, and sportsmanguide reviews from customers. Jus...

Re: Brace Height

Pre stretch/ creep / pre wax your replacement / backup string (shoot to break it in so to speak). so it is as close to ready as possible when the need arises to put it into use in the field. I use 50 shoots as my break in number then revert back to my original. I also place a single paper clip thro...

Half moon or flat nock?

Just as the title says... do you guys use flat nocks or half moon? Any known advantages one had over the other (accuracy?)?

Re: Brace Height

Shooting with a "too low" brace height does place added stress on limbs and limb tips. If brace height is "too high" you will loose a few fps in speed. The speed loss is not damaging to anything. You will need a stringing aid. Yes, Danny Miller sells a great one. Danny also make...

Re: Grizzly VS Matrix 310

As to your question about the bumpers reducing noise, yes they do some. It is not a MAJOR drop in noise though. Crossbows are noisy compared to verticle bows. You will never quiet one down to those standards. The bumpers help more in vibration, help protect your bow in case of dryfire ( and it will...
