( 14 years in a row with out a tag ) I have been out 2 weekends now and only have seen 2 bulls which I have no tag for although there is lots of sign where I am hunting. As far as grouse I have seen a few an...

After 32 years in the military I pulled pin mostly for that reason.....work got in the way of me having fun. Now I got the best paying job a person could ask for @ 51 ...Retired and still get a monthly...

I think we need a couple of cold nights and a windy day to get rid of some of the foliage. The grouse I have seen were out on the trail picking...

Grouse and shockers w/Excalibur

Excalibur Mounted Arrow Quiver
Maybe I am just cranky but does anyone find the Excalibur quiver kind of useless? 1. It is very uncomfortable while the bow is slung. 2. Very difficult to remove and replace bolts. 3. In the stand it has to come off to use a shooting stick. 4. I tried to sling it off my belt and while boonie bashing...

I ride the 4 wheeler 27 minites to the stand and back and get back to the camp at 830 at night have supper and then take off my fall arrest. I am so used to wearing it that I feel comfor...

An old army trick I learned back in basic is let your eyes adjust. Do this by exiting any light condition and just sit and let the pupils relax. After a few minutes your night sight will appear and with a half decent moon you will be able to walk before day break with little problem. Another trick i...
