Re: treesaddle/guido's web hunting
We all have different comfort levels, but the Treesaddle was extremely uncomfortable for me. Even with foot pegs and kneepads, I couldn't sit still. I can remain a lot more motionless in a traditional climber or hang-on.

Re: Gold tip says not to use Hot Melt Glue with Carbon shaft
Over the years I've used the low temp melt glue sticks on both Gold Tip arrows and bolts with zero damage to them.

Re: Ordered a new Rifle, What Scopes?
I haven't been super impressed with Burris scopes. I had two break on me. Of course Burris replaced them with no questions asked, but still the fact that the reticles kicked loose bothered me.

Re: Free string! Angel Majesty Endless Loop String Test
I'm late to the test, but I put the endless string on my Vortex last night. This evening the sting had setteled in with a little stretch as you'd expect from any new string. I chronoed the old Flemish string with 410 grain bolts and 328 grain bolts. The 410's averaged 317.2 fps and the 328's average...

Re: Ordered a new Rifle, What Scopes?
I find it difficult to beat Leupolds for quality and durability. Very true. I'm also a big fan of the Bushnell Elite scopes. The only advantage I really see with a similar priced Leupold is that the Leupold has slightly better eye relief. With magnum rifles, I prefer as much eye relief as possible!

I've been using Rocket Steelheads, mainly because I already had them, but they've worked great so far.

Re: O/T Mineral Licks
I generally use plain water softener salt. It doesn't have any minerals that might help with rack growth, but bucks and does alike crave salt and they visit the sight daily.

Re: O/T Mower Deck Blades
I went to mow a lawn for and elderly lady for free and hit a rock I did not see and it broke the blade. Good Suggestion though if it wasn't broken. Thanks, Raymond Tell her she has three options. 1. Buy you a new set of blades. 2. You can settle it in court. or 3. She can step out in the yard and s...

Re: Airgun shooters
I can't help you with a shooting location either, but I'm a big fan of quality German made spring power airguns. I've had a Finewerkbau 124D since I was a kid. My two main plinking and hunting guns are a Beeman R9 in 177 and an RWS 350 is 22.

Re: recurve
I agree with Big58cal. There's a huge difference in just hitting a peak weight on a compound and holding back peak weight on a recurve. I'd want to test shoot one before buying. My father was very strong man in his younger days and only hunted with a 40 lb recurve. He said it allowed him to practice...
