i shoot a compund bow which shoots much slower than a crossbow, let alone an excalibur, and i can really tell the difference between shooting from the ground and shooting from a tree, the arrow flight is much flatter.

I took a 8-point with shotgun, a button buck with muzzleloader, but got skunked with the bow.

I thought that since most of the seasons are over or at least winding down maybe we could get a count on the number of whitetails taken this year. This would give us new members a chance to see just what kind of experience this forum has.

Congrats on the pronghorn. I guess i don't know much about them, how big can their horns get.

I think it is not the noise you make as much as the where you make noise. As long as your not majorly intruding in their bedding area, they wont care. It could also be possible to get deer to become more aquainted with gun shots. Could come in handy during gun season.
