Re: Why did you buy an X-bow?
to "try something new". I started with a wheeled ten point bow which I hated. Almost gave up on crossbows altogether then. Indiana just made them legal a few years ago during regular archery and I wanted to try something new after 20+ yrs of bowhunting. I found Excalibur and got an Axiom a...

Re: HELP IN DECISION OF XBOW
all great choices. After having one, I will ONLY buy a crossbow with a thumbhole stock. Lots of other things don't matter to me. But I love the thumbhole design of my Grizzly I had a 355 and I don't see much difference in hunting situations between 355 and 305 FPS. I like the easy to cock deisgn. I ...

Re: Nikon BOLT scope
I agree with that. I would buy the bare bow option as well. Good to have the choice
Why source lower quality scopes to put on the best crossbow on the market when Nikon, Vortex, Hawke, etc are making world class glass for crossbows?

Re: What arrow weight do you prefer?
I shoot the stock bolts in my Matriz Grizzly with a 150 field point or slick trick. Not sure what they weigh but they seem to shoot great!
Any suggestions on other combos to try for this bow??

Nikon BOLT scope
Hi Guys, Just put a Nikon Bolt scope on my Grizzly. WOW! This thing is so much brighter and more clear than the stock scope. Great scope on a great crossbow. I think I will love it in low light early and late hunting situations. Wondered WHY Excalibur has not partnered with a great scope company lik...

Axiom string
what string would you recommend having on hand for a backup for this bow?
I am more concerned with accuracy and of course, durability than I am with speed.

I have an excalibur dealer about 20 min from home. Not too many crossbow hunters in this area though...mostly 'shotgun season' types.

scope fogging up?
Hi Guys,
I am new here and to crossbow hunting. Just got an Axiom and Love it!!
The one minor issue I have found is that the scope will fog up on some of these hot humid midwest days when I go out to shoot. Is this normal?
Any way to reduce the fogging? Other than reducing humidity outside?

Re: Best Target Bag/Block
I shoot at a black hole target now and it leaves a lot to be desired. I have shot out the middle so can only shoot corner spots now or risk going hunting for a bolt.....
