New Toy

Well folks I jumped on the bandwagon and picked up a Matrix 380 in tactical black. What an ultra cool bow it is. The new TACT ZONE scope is really nice too. Had it outside on a really grey dreery day today and that scope lets in plenty of light. The illuminated retical is really nice. Waiting for a ...

Re: No Hunting signs

I believe the point here has been missed. What is law is not always binding to the insurance company. They have the right to dictate what they will and won't cover in most cases. May well be true that the laws says you can hunt the posted land if you own it. That does not mean the insurance company ...

Re: Which bow?

Welcome. I am a tad over 6ft mark with a bit of a build. I have the Equinox and love it. It can get to be a bit much shooting a lot like you might sighting it in. But for a hunt no problem. As has been said the axiom or ibex would be a good choice too. I bought the Equinox with the bigger is better ...

Re: Need a little advice

I use Easton 2219 bolt and 150gr bolt cutters on my Equinox and have no concerns at all. Have take 3 deer so far with it. The furthest was out to 38-40 yards. penetration was about 12 inches into the ground after going through the deer, so no worries there. I will recommend you use aluminum shafts c...

Re: equinox specs??

Welcome aboard. The sizes mentioned are accurate. I will say this bow is a beast. I love mine. A tad heavy but hits like a truck and very accurate. Had a chance to put mine up against a brand new Horton compound crossbow last weekend. I can say for sure the exinox won hands downs. Only draw back is ...

Re: horrible feeling

Sorry to hear that. I too have had that rotten feeling a couple years back. Nail a doe I saw the bolt go through in my scope. Great placement but away she went. Had 4 guys looking and found nothing. Rain was coming down so hard to find blood. We had to leave. I felt rotten to say the least. Went out...

Re: mystery hip pain

I will vouch for the SCIATIC never pinch. Never had issues until June this year. As I type this my hip from rear end all the way around the front hurst like a SOB. They are right no med really helps. I do find though that using my incline table helps make it managable. Hope thats not your issue. Wou...

Re: First Bear with Xbow

Black bear meat is very ediable. In fact I find it less gamey than deer. It is a fatter meat for sure. To the point of being greasy. Put it in a smoker for the day and you will have some very fine eats

Apsley Turkey Hunt

Made it up to Apsley for some turkey on Sunday. Expecting to fill 2 tags. However, fate interveened and was called home early to deal with saltwater aquarium issues. Anyway did manage to bag one bird. This guy kept coming into 50yard mark then circling back. He did this three times. Finally I gave a...

Re: Gun Registry

i wqas being facetious when i said gun registry whats that, registering your guns is just so they know where to go and who s door o knock on when they ban themor greatly restrict them , like they did in britain, if you look at syria right now as they battle against tyranny it should serve as a remi...
