Re: Halfmoon Nocks?
Good Luck with your Vortex, I know you can get excellant groups out to 50 yards with it I really love the one I have. As far as the nock goes I'm like some of the other guys on here and only use a flat nock and if you don't want to sand the moon nock down you can always put a regular aluminum insert...

Re: Hog pics
Nice Pics I've killed a few with a rifle in S.C. but nothing as big as some of yours. I love hog hunting just about as much as deer hunting, they are some nasty creatures when you are skinning them out and it seems like about 3 times harder to get them skinned. Congrats onthe hogs good luck getting ...

Re: New to the Game
Welcome you will enjoy your Vortex. You will need to purchase a back up string and string changer if you haven't already. The serving on the string needs to be waxed after about 25 shots, the string will last a long time but the serving will break down if you shoot it a lot and don't keep it waxed. ...

Re: Snow
Cute little boy there I know he sure loves his grandpa. My grandson leaves to go back home tomorrow, and I sure will miss him. Raymond I hope the weather works out so you get a chance at a rabbit for your grandson.

Re: equinox vs vortex
The Equinox looks a little better and is a little faster but since I have a Vortex I'm afraid I have to be partial to it. The 20fps you gain makes very little difference out to 40 yards if you compare the difference with a computer generated program which will show you the POI with both speeds. I us...

Re: Post Season Pics
Nice pics, thanks for showing them. Is there coyotes showing up in the cities, towns and rural areas close to house and people like they are here in Nova Scotia? Coyotes are everywhere here in N.C. it seems we can't kill enough of them. Nice pics at least you know another big one made it through ano...

Re: New Cutting Board for Deer Jerky
How many pounds of meat was it that gave you 4 quart bags? I didn't weigh my meat because I use the same recipe each time and I usually slice up 2 backstraps for jerky. Sometimes I have a little marinate over that doesn't soak up and thats ok because I will brush it on the meat when I switch the tra...

Re: Bugs Build along
Sure looks like a nasty cut it looks like you will have to take it easy for awhile or you will hit it on everything while trying not to.

Re: CX Crossbolts
Thanks, I tried to fletch the arrows today with Blazers while it was raining and for some reason the glue wasn't setting up. I just bought some new Gorilla super glue that I used last year and it worked great last year with all my arrows it normally would set up in about 45 seconds. I sanded my arro...

CX Crossbolts
I was finally able to shoot my new CX Crossbolts today at 30 yards from the bench. My Gold Tip Laser II's weigh 407 with a 100gr. pt. and the CX Crossbolts weigh 425 gr with a 100 gr. pt. I was quite suprised to see at 30 yards they both shot the same POI. I'm sure if I would have went back and shot...
