Welcome you will enjoy your Vortex. You will need to purchase a back up string and string changer if you haven't already. The serving on the string needs to be waxed after about 25 shots, the string will last a long time but the serving will break down if you shoot it a lot and don't keep it waxed. ...

The Equinox looks a little better and is a little faster but since I have a Vortex I'm afraid I have to be partial to it. I was finally able to shoot my new CX Crossbolts today at 30 yards from the bench. My Gold Tip Laser II's weigh 407 with a 100gr. pt. and the CX Crossbolts weigh 425 gr with a 100 gr. pt.
