Re: Steel Inserts
I built some 2219's for a customer last year and used the .300 OD SS Ethics 125 to 200 gr adjustable insert. ( I used the full 200 gr but it can be cut to 125, 150, and 175 gr.) Using the thicker JB Weld 2 part epoxy took up the fitment perfectly. Give it a full 24 hr cure. Rotate insert during sea...

Re: Is a shoulder/scapula shot a concern for a modern crossbow hunter?
Holy smokes, crazy pics. I'm not advocating aiming for the shoulder, I'm advocating for the fact that we're overstressing using heavy bolt setups. I'm thinking that any modern crossbow with 350-380gr bolt should shoot through a shoulder no problem in the event that a poor shot is made. I 100% disag...

What to do with old Trail Cams
Old Trail Cameras. (SD Card Trail Cams) What to do with them?? Is there anyone that repairs/refurbishes Cams? Just hate to see $100 Cam end up in the junk box, when all it may need is a minor repair or replacement part.

Re: Vanes
A little OT, but you may want to try some 2" feathers. I use them a lot. Both Gateway and Trueflight make them. ABout the size of Blazers and steer my fixed blades well. I favor Trueflights over Gateway tough as they seem to be ground more evenly and consistently. I think if you contact them t...

Re: Vanes
For me, Blazers are the easy, most practical vane. They aren't expensive like Silent Knights, they steer extremely well and I think they are the toughest vane available. Silent Knights are functionally the best vanes but are stupid money and do not stand abuse anywhere close to Blazers. Aerovanes a...

Vanes
Earlier this month, I focused on what type of fletching Jig to use... Now, time to decide which type of vanes are best. As I came to realize, there are a lot of differences to consider... Let's start with the Arrow: type, length, diameter, weight - BH: Fixed or Mechanical, and the length and weight ...

Re: O/T jody5252
WOW! Thanks all, for the BD greetings... :eusa-dance:  This really helped lift my spirit. Had to spend the past few days sitting around with an ice pack on my knee, and taking pain meds. Got a whopper of a Knee sprain. Hopefully that is all it takes to recover. Truly thankful that i...

Re: Fletching Jigs
The Firenock Aero Fletcher checks all the boxes for me but the price may not be for you. I cried once and bought the best. Not one regret with this Fletcher the way I see it. The Aero fletcher with base is so purrrrdy looking it deserves to be a mantle center piece on display. Fit, finish and quali...
