A420 and BD 440 - Frame Length?
Can someone who owns either the A420 or BD440 please measure the mainframe length for me? I don’t need the draw length, I need to know the distance from one end to the other end of the mainframe. Any help is appreciated

Re: Bow Accident, What Next?
Wait...I saw videos of a Micro being dragged behind an ATV and holding zero. So you are telling me running it over with an ATV caused that much damage? :eusa-naughty: Did you run it over, and back over it multiple times? All kidding aside, that sucks and you’re a braver man than me to admit to...

Re: scope's
It’s not crossbow specific, but I’ve been using Leupold VXR Patrols and Leupold Mark AR Mod-1s in 1.25-4x for the last 5 years. They are bright, extremely lightweight and have usable illumination. The reticle subtensions in the Special Purpose Reticle aren’t perfect for crossbow use, but they are cl...

Re: 440 or 420 TD.
If I was going to buy another Excalibur, it would be the 440. I don’t like the idea of a built-in crank for 2 reasons - the added bulk, (2 lbs is a lot), and long term it will break down. That being said, I don’t see myself buying another Excalibur any time soon. My custom Matrix 410 is a proven lon...

Re: Steep Ravine Thanksgiving buck (part 2)
Congrats, buddy! If you ever need help getting another one from the ravine, call me, I’ll bring a quad! It’s the only way we can extricate our deer in the same ravine country without quartering the deer. Cheers!

Re: I wish that we could check our trigger bolts without removing the stock...
I don’t locktite the stock-to-mainframe screws, so pulling off my stock to check the trigger box screws isn’t a problem. Especially with a plastic stock, (mine is a laminated wood), you shouldn’t really torque those stock-to-mainframe screws...I just “finger tighten” those.

High Mountain Archery
Hoyt Frankenbow (Matthews Solo Cams on Hoyt Reflex Riser)
Matthews Conquest
Martin MOAB

APA Mamba X1
APA Mamba 32 TF
I’m sure there were others but these are the ones I remember. I only target shoot now and I love my APA’s.

Re: Red dot on a 355
X2 on the Leupold VXR. I love mine on my 355. Looks like the secret is out! I’ve had a Leup VXR 1.25-4x on one or more of my bows since 2014. I have yet to use anything better. You can shoot it with both eyes open and use the firedot when mag is low. It gathers light at dawn and dusk and actually h...

Re: Favorite Scope for Micro?
I like Leupold 1.25-4x VXR scopes. I have the VXR Patrol with the SPR Reticle and it’s very light, bright, and Firedot illumination is  I can use the reticle or the elevation turrets for the yardages I hunt at, (usually under 50y). Is it a single reticle or holdover lines? Thanks Google SPR R...

Re: Titanium Screws
I helped to get these kits mass produced back when the bows had pretty much interchangeable fasteners from Exo to Matrix to Micro. A lot has changed with Excal since then and the Ti company hasn’t been keen on keeping up with all the design changes. I have a Matrix 410 and I use the stock hardware h...

Re: Super heavy arrow with expandable heads?
In my opinion, large cut mechanicals have no business in a bow that shoots under 350fps with a hunting weight arrow. You can’t expect to get pass thrus at that speed regardless of shot placement. That being said, I have used the FOC to harvest over 10 big game animals and I’ve always gotten pass thr...
