Re: what happened to the reasonable price on Excal crossbows
I find the prices to be right in line with the old EXO series with the right stuff packages I tend to agree, however the difference is that the EXO series could be purchased on their own, and the "right/lite stuff" packages could be added at the sole discretion of the buyer if so desired....

Re: My new 300 FPS Excal

Re: 405, 380, micro
Are they truly broken limbs one might ask. Some might be just a splinter showing up. A laminated limb that would be a great reason for concern. But Excalibur limbs are a different story in comparison. In the first month of owning my micro 335 I had a 2" splinter that I'm sure I could have just ...

Re: My new 300 FPS Excal
Now that's going to be a killing machine! Nice to have that extra speed and turn it into killing energy. Won't be no stopping that arrow with that ft lbs of energy behind it. Betting real accuracy gain too. Won't be like shooting a pingpong ball into the wind like lightweight arrows. Better only sho...

Re: Noise reduction
Besides some of the above, I've also taken my stocks off and cut a strip of inner tube the length of the stock to lay in between it and the rail, as a stock bedding. Just put in a slit for your stock screws. Makes a nice difference. Also your foot stirrups can be wrapped with tubing also. Then wrap ...

Re: Dr. Stirrup: How works?
DB killers alone will be aprox 3ft/s. Add the bummpers it goes to only 1-2ft/s. Just asked Gaston sitting beside me. Hey newbie. Ask Gaston how the 4x4 rope cocker hooks were suppose to be put on the string to cock. Over the top? Or from below the string? He should get a kick out of that. Thanks Ra...

Re: Dr. Stirrup: How works?
I've never tried mine in the seated position. Can see that it would work very well that way though. It works great in the standing position. Better stability for sure. And it's all a shorter pull up to cock it.

Re: Dr. Stirrup: How works?
I just checked them out do the silencer take a way speed? Looks like it would. Good question. Yes, 1-2'/sec over being slightly off the Excal string bumpers. However, they quieten it significantly. Belive the question was for the limbs? As far as the db bumpers. It is recommended to actually be on ...

Re: Is 40 Yards Too Far?
Every person's ability is different. As is each shot on game. Anything can happen at any range. Been shooting recurves and long bows since the early 70s and have taken large game out to 60 yards with bows only shooting 160 to 180 FPS. Key was heavy arrows for penetration. Not lightweight for speed j...

Re: DrStirrup dBKiller Silencers location question
I hear ya. I was in that boat at first also. I just posted in a different post on where I found to be the best location on my matrix 355. I did some experimenting with my chrony. They usually start about 4 inch from the riser. I have some pics on here if you look up past post about drstirrup. Just n...

Re: Dr. Stirrup: How works?
I just checked them out do the silencer take a way speed? Looks like it would. I had thought the same. But after receiving the full Dr stirrup kit, I spent a couple days testing. Using my chrony and changing the placement of the limb dbkilllers I found the best area for optimum performance. Only 1 ...

Re: Black vs. Camo
The black ones have a nice grippy texture to the whole stock; the camo. finish is smooth. ....all kidding aside, the grippy texture on the Nightmare is really cool...you have to see one as compared to the camo one to appreciate it....and if you wear a leather jacket and dark sunglasses it'll shoot ...

Re: Who wants a bulldog?
Not seeing the need for it. The want is there of coarse. As it was when I was caught up in my compound days. The next best newest version of gotta haves. Soon learned I could go to a pawn shop and buy a $75 bow, tune it up and shoot just like my $1,000 gotta have bows. That's not counting all the go...
