Re: O/T nchunterkw
Hey Guys! Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I've had a crazy start to 2023. Got unexpectedly laid off on Jan 6th so that put a damper on pretty much everything. So I have not been on here much. Thankfully I was able to get a new job in a few weeks and started this past Monday Feb 6th. As is typica...

Re: Late Season Archery - The Ups & Downs
I think that is correct. You are almost as fast as Matt's bow but with 175gr more weight. That's = lots more momentum. You arrows will hit hard so you need a really good broadhead that won't get damaged. That's great!! I hope to have good passes similar to yours in the wild boars with that configur...

Re: Late Season Archery - The Ups & Downs
I just found this: http://archerycalculator.com/archery-kinetic-energy-and-momentum-calculator/ 580gr - 350fps = 0,90 Something is wrong? It seems too much to me. I think that is correct. Re: Late Season Archery - The Ups & Downs
Great story Matt!. What are your arrow particulars? That is the kind of terminal performance we should all be striving for. A clean pass through when you don't just hit ribs. Custom built Zombie Slayers with Luminoks. 125 grain Spitfires up front. 405 grains dressed. Helps that my 380 Matrix has so...

Re: Tink
I've tried a lot of scents and things over the years and as many have said have had younger bucks come in. Evercalm, Tinks 69, Trails End #307. All about the same. At this point I've opted to just try to smell like nothing and play the wind. I think a lot of those scents are like fishing lures. Desi...

Is This the First or Last......YES
A week ago it was 10F down here in the south. Froze all the shallow spots I duck hunt and was just generally miserable. But this week...it's been in the 60s the past 3 or 4 days. No complaints I'll take it. Makes sitting for deer much more pleasurable and the lakes a bit easier to wade in. Sunday wa...

Re: Greetings from Spain
For big hogs like you have I'd go around 600 or 700 grains. Can you get GoldTip arrows there? The GoldTip Nitro Pro is 13.9 GPI and is the highest I have found. They come 22" long with loose 110gr inserts so you can cut them down. https://www.goldtip.com/crossbow-bolts/nitro-series/nitro-pro-cr...

Re: Greetings from Spain
Well these are my groupings for today at 20 yards with 18" proflight arrows and Sevr Robusto broadheads. I think the problem was the arrows, poor Chinese quality. Black Eagle forever!! I just need to locate the spines to make robinhoods!! https://i.ibb.co/CP7m4d0/IMG-20221206-170001-1.jpg Now ...

Re: Greetings from Spain
https://youtu.be/a2-Bk42-am0 Pretty straight forward information on arrow flight from a crossbow. Good video. Thank you! It is clear to me that the problem is in the point or in the arrow. I could order arrows already prepared as it says but I want to learn a little before. Each arrow flexes at the...
