Grandson got a doe yesterday
I've been trying to help my 11 yoa grandson Cayden close the distance on a deer the last couple of times we hunted together and this afternoon it came together and he took a small doe right before dark with my wife's Katana 360 and Truglo Titanium X broadhead at 28 yards. We were hunting in the play...

Congrats on the buck your patience really paid off. Deer can do some amazing things trying to get out of the way of an arrow. Great job

Re: Persistence
Just stay at it and make sure the wind is right sometimes that can really mess you up for later hunts if they smell you.

Doe # 3 down for 2020
I was hunting yesterday afternoon in my lock on about 22 ft up looking for one more mature doe to finish filling my freezer when around 5:45 I saw 2 does coming toward me. The 2nd doe was the biggest of the 2 so I waited on her to close the distance at 24 yards and she gave me a slightly quartering ...

Re: Tree stand bruises
I took down and moved two lock on's this year and it seems the older I get the longer and harder it is to get it done. I hope with all that work ya'll can bag a big buck there and then all that hard work will be worth it. The best of luck to you.
