i asked the same thing about three weeks ago. decided to try the 2 blade but have not gotten a shot yet, had 4 deer at 30 yards friday evening but no clear shot. a member of our group used to shoot them a number of years ago out of compound, said he killed several deer but had one bad experience on ...

a heavier broadhead would probably be the simplist fix at this time with only day remaining till opening day. another head that i almost tried was the 140 grain muzzy 4 blade. if the vortex mechanical does't perform to my liking i will try that one.

you can't turn off gravity, it only works on an object in the horizontal plane ,so if you look at the graph in earlier reply it is side b that is the distance over which gravity works. same as if you placed a rifle perfectly level and placed a bullet beside the barrel and released it in a free fall ...

sounds like you got a batch of last years corn which has weevils in it. they are small dark colored beetle looking bugs. the dust is where they have been boring into the kernals of corn, if you look you will see small holes in the kernals, i have fed corn from the year before and the deer will eat i...

gravity only works on objects in the horizontal plane, so the distance for an aiming reference is the distance from the base of your stand to the target assuming that your stand is not on the side of a steep hill and the deer etc. is not significantly below that level. so if target is 15 yard from b...

hey crazyfarmer, ankles are kind of touchy, even when they feel good after an injury they tend to take a while to get their strength back. so if you have to take off on a blood trail or travel any uneven or rough terrain consider keeping that brace on. GOOD LUCK THIS YEAR.

i'm with you pyd, this question makes absolutely no sense at all. just got off the miss. forum and all that is over there are someone stirring crap. how far a weapon will shoot has nothing to do with its effective range. by the way mine will well outshoot my ability., except from 0 to 40 yds.

another thing you might try is to set the blind back a little bit into some brush or grass, if material has a shine on it try draping some of the tank como available from larger stores or maybe even army surplus, then brushing over that so that it then blends with the thicket or overgrown field or w...

vortex broadhead

after looking at a multitude of broadhead reviews (especially mechanicals) i decided on trying the vortex by marden. i sighted in with 125 gr. fieldpoints and then shot the vortex. the result was a difference of one inch left at 20 yds. fine tuned it to bullseye and moved to 30 yds. was dead on. sea...
