broadhead practice

saw on another post something about tying mechanical blades closed with dental floss to keep them from opening to save the blades. wondering if anyone has tried this and shot into a bag target so would have easy arrow removal. if no one has tried this i will one day this week and report back.

easton power bolts c2

anyone have confirmation on specs for this bolt in 20 inch. ordered set from luminok (burt coyote) and am assuming that they are 319gr. as advertised, however when i look it up on easton website i can't get close to that weight unless something is missing off their specs. i did not see any fletching...

decided to at least give the vortex head a try. they should be here any day now. season opens 1 oct. hoe to have field test report by end of that weekend, either on pork or venison, with venison preferred.

for those who use the belt or strap type safety rigs a tip is to wear it up under your armpits so that if you fall it is not tightening on or below the ribcage. it is not in the way in that position either.

bought the hss vest last year for myself and my son very user friendly. had cardiac event in june so added the hss lifeline so won't fall and break my neck haha(also keeps son and wife off my case) but seriously hss is excellent vest.

vortex broadhead

new to crossbow hunting. shoot thunderhead 125 in my compound but looking for mechanical from my vortex. looking at great reviews from cabelas site on the 125 gr. vortex head. i know this is one of the older mechanicals on the market so was wondering if anyone has any experience with this broadhead.

not sure whether was bss or another supplier but i priced a package of broadheads the other day and shipping on one blister pack was 9.00. did not take me long to vacate that site. i too will not even look at the bss site from now on.
