About the best practice you can get is to go to a 3d course with a range finder make your yardage guess in your head , then take the shot then use the range finder.
We have a 3D course at Boofest!😊 Just say'n.
If this Boofest is near Orillia I have family there and may show up one year.

Re: Nuisance Deer I’ll Be doing my part this Fall

If you live in the “city”, but can walk one way for ten miles without hitting another road, you must be in Canada. Ain’t no cities like that in the lower 48! A fence around the garden works. If you hang burlap on it or make it opaque some other way, it only needs to be five foot high. Deer won’t ju...

Re: Nuisance Deer I’ll Be doing my part this Fall

NB is Canada's best kept secret. World class fisheries, true wilderness off every highway exit. Scenery, Hospitality, good food and good beer! Spend 8 or 10 days there a few years back and absolutely fell in love. Stayed with locals, skipped the tourist stuff and got to see the real province. Or a ...

Have you considered shooting the deer with a rubber blunt? That should educate them!
No I never thought about that. They travel through 24/7. They wait until I go to work or sleep lol. I have been thinking of using the Bolt Cutter

Exodus Lift II Trail Cam

https://exodusoutdoorgear.com/collections/cameras/products/exodus-lift-ii-trail-camera I've been looking at trail cams for several years. Like most electronics this old guy looks at, the more I look the more confused I get. I'm kind of anal when it comes to spending my hard earned money so I spend m...

Re: Rangefinding with a frisbee???

Back in the early 80’s while dabbling in bow hunting we constantly had to practice in real life woods situations to estimate ranges and angles. I wasn’t that good at it. I commend those natural instinctive bow hunters. Likely 10 years ago when our Canadian money was at par I found a Bushnell1500 ARC...

Nuisance Deer I’ll Be doing my part this Fall

This target is sitting 40 feet from my house. The house is to the left. Every day I have at least 5 does browsing right there where the target sits. We have TOO many nuisance deer in our area. I live in a city but can walk across the road and walk 1-10 miles and not hit a single road. Parts of the c...

^^Thank-you,
I found Seth and Keenan at BDog targets very helpful and offering quality customer service, and to add, if the outside skin ever wears out they will send another out charging a shipping cost only.
Yes I dealt with Seth, he was a great help in choosing the target.

Re: Looking for insight - New to xbow

Thanks for the feedback everyone. The whole want vs. need dilemma. I'll probably go for the 355 when it comes on sale again. I can always get some Dr. Stirrup addons later. As XB I GO said the bow does come apart with just bolts anyways. But we will see what deals come along. If you’re in Canada an...

Re: Clunking Noise While loading Micro 355/C2 Crank

I posted a fix for this problem a while back when the charger Ext crank came out last year. Lube crank string with wax. Then guide the string back and fourth on to the spool when cranking it. Similar to a fishing reel. Do this a few times to give the string new memory. This has worked well for me. ...

Re: And They SAID DON’T DO THIS!

Bulldog targets offers the newest 2019 targets optioned with the PLUS material at a slight extra cost. Can you define arrow removal ease in the Plus series? I use the BDog XL 450 that easyly stops arrows at 450 fps + out of my Scorpyd but every now and again some arrows requires my arrow puller. I ...
