Re: Newbie Broadhead Review (Rage)

LOL Don't worry, those Rage's went right back last night and then I picked up the Muzzy's. I'm hoping for great success with them. I understand what people say about "What does it matter?" But to me it does matter. I want to be able to practice, practice, and practice just a little more. I...

Re: Newbie Broadhead Review (Rage)

Thanks Bubba. I found broadheads for my vertical compound that flew exactly like field points, so I know they're out there. I just have to find them. I'm very particular like that.

Re: Up, down, or round and round?

I've always been a guy who starts high and settles down to my target, even with my vertical compound.

Newbie Broadhead Review (Rage)

I had posted earlier about suggestions for broadheads which flew just like field points. It's a pet peeve of mine. Anyways, I received, as you might imagine, a plethora of suggestions. A buddy of mine at work who has an Axiom said he uses the 2 blade expandable Rage broadhead and that it flew just l...

I ordered 3 bottles from Amazon last week. I've already sprayed mine and my little girls clothes. We're ready.

Thanks Bubba, that's not a bad wrench to throw in there. I truly appreciate that and will probably end up taking the same route when I order.

Go first season draw in Colorado for the guys/gals wanting elk. I did it 7 times and got 7 elk.
Wow, congratulations on your success. It's hard to pick just one dream hunt when you want to hunt elk, moose, bear, ect... But it's great to hear of such successes.

Re: General Bolt & ZS Questions

Boo, X, and Paul, you all made some valid points to consider for sure. I honestly believe that I'll be going with this particular company to buy bolts but now that Boo brought up the spine factor I now have more to consider. Go shorter, buy the Executioners, stay at 18" and go with the ZS's. De...

Re: What is your dream hunt?

Bubba, I wasn't in the 82nd or Airborne but I was in the infantry. No, I don't believe I could outrun a brown bear, but when he's slipping in the poop running down my legs at least I'd get a good head start. :D

Re: What is your dream hunt?

I think my dream hunt would be for Kodiak bear on Kodiak Island, AK with the bow. Now I know how that sounds but I love archery hunting. Besides, if one did charge, it sure as heck wouldn't be able to catch me. It'd be slipping in the stuff running down the back of my legs.

Re: excal grizzly

Fredd, I too just picked up a Grizzly on 8-20. I shot it extensively over the weekend and absolutely love it and all of the accessories that I put on it as far as silencers and such. Although right now I'm using the provided Diablos, once they begin to run short I'll be ordering some custom made Zom...

Re: Rage 2" COC broadheads

Rooster, I too am new to the crossbow world and did my research before buying the Grizzly. I asked the general question of what was best and got a plethora of answers. I then asked a close friend who has had an Excalibur for years and he said that he used the Rage 2" expendables. I found them o...

Bubba, my name is in reference to a few things but yes I did serve in The Big Red 1 in 2/16 Inf as well as some other units.

I will most certainly be calling Jerry when I'm ready, thank you Brother.

Re: General Bolt & ZS Questions

Being that the power stroke is shorter than my 355, I would probably use 16" arrows with the Grizzly. I like the broadhead to not interfere with my bow hanger when in my stand. Wow, really?!?! Again, I'm completely new and don't know any better. I'm not even sure, I haven't paid enough attenti...
