Re: M335 LImb tips

I've been shooting it and will continue to do so unless I see the crack get bigger.

It still looks safe, the cracks appear to simply be in the paint, but they sure are in an area that would make an engineer pause for a second and ask just what is going on here... Time will tell.

M335 LImb tips

I have the classic hairline crack on the inside of the limb tip on one limb of my M335. Kind of like the glue, or adhesive is letting go. Is this something that you can pretty much keep shooting?

Thanks,

Brian

Re: Need a couple new Excals, anything to stay away from?

I believe the lifetime warranty thing will certainly be based on the direction of the Excalibur brand and who happens to own it in the future.

With that out of the way. I don not think one excal is consistently more reliable than the next, so get what you like...

Good luck!

Re: Boltcutter Kills

My file are too big. 3 kills last year. Added up all three don't total 150 yards traveled. 1 dead pretty much in sight. The other 2 dead in bout 60 yards. Blood trails weren't anything to write home about, but they were certainly easily discernable. Cant beat the accuracy of them, especially for the...

Re: Faulty tact zone crosshairs

I had one bad outta the box. I returned it. The new one is good, but in bright daylight the reticles look like they are starting to rust or something. You can see lumps on the surface of them...

Still accurate for now.

Re: Gen 2 Micro 335 and Blazers

Checked tonight out to 30 yards. Doesn't affect accuracy to 30 yards. My shots do start stringing to the right though. Prob a scope mounting issue I would imagine.

I'll have to work on that sometime....

Re: Gen 2 Micro 335 and Blazers

I checked em with lipstick. They are rubbing. Not much, just enough to bother me. I need to check BH flight once to be sure its not affecting it.

I think I somehow get all the defective components from excal...

Gen 2 Micro 335 and Blazers

I re-fletched some quills with blazer vanes. The blazer vanes rub ever so slightly in the bottom of the rail. Anyone else notice this? Doesn't seem to affect FP accuracy.

Thanks,

My quills with bolt cutters come in at 405 grains if I'm remembering correctly. They go through deer like the deer aint there...

Re: ground pounders

The ground is cool. Pop up ground blinds are lame. Natural ground blinds are cool. I've NEVER had a deer go by a pop up ground blind without giving it the hairy eyeball.

Keep the wind in your favor, stay still, use what;s around you to conceal/blend in.

Enjoy!

Re: NAP spitfire edge

I was just gonna make a post to this effect about using the standard 125gr sptifire.

I'd love to hear experiences, and if folks are banding. I'd be shooting them from a Micro 335.

I have some 125gr spits laying around waiting to kill a tick toter.

That would be cool. Tim Wells has a clip in which he kills a buck with a spear. I forget what state it was in.

Re: How Much Speed Is Really Needed

At some point sheer crossbow speed will not make up for a poorly set up location. At some point you either need to find a way to get closer, which is half the fun, or wait until you can use a gun.
