Re: Does Broadhead Choice Really Matter?

I’ve actually taken to shooting hogs with field points through the lungs and they die just as fast.

I went to shooting mostly lung only shots regardless of broadheads because they usually just flinch, walk off and fall over dead -vs- getting them all excited and watching them run

Re: String Life On The Lower Velocity Excalibur's

If your hooks are damaging the string then you probably rather polish them. You guys know about putting JB weld on y’alls serving? Sure are some “Expert” comments on the subject. If you a understand my concept, basically like JB weld wax not a big glob. You’ll see the impression marks where you need...

Re: String Life On The Lower Velocity Excalibur's

You can coat the serving with a little JB weld at the contact points for the trigger instead of wax and the serving will last forever but the string still will eventually start to stretch more, especially if you leave it in a hot truck cab.

Re: String Life On The Lower Velocity Excalibur's

I changed my Grizzly string recently after 3 or 4 seasons of use. This particular string killed hundreds of animals and had hundreds of practice shots. I noticed it was needing adjustment more often and I just didn’t want a breakage in the field. I figured three years plus on a $35 string is more th...

Re: Scope to Red Dot

Many times I find the lack of answers a person claims is based on perspective. I also find advice not only differs because of experience but what one’s definition of hunting is in the first place coupled with bias. Here in Texas a red dot perfectly set at 30 yards to a corn feeder with a timer set f...

Re: Deer hunting out of state - where to go?

Its a long way to travel but the most liberal quota states without regard for tag draws and crap are in the South.

Re: Scope to Red Dot

I’m guessing I killed 100 plus game animals last year with the crossbow alone, many of them I could not have done with a red dot alone because of light conditions or discernment of terrain and vegetation, and those ballistic plex reticles mean a lot for my type hunting. I’ve tried an EOTech XBow red...

Re: Scope to Red Dot

For me the Nikon bolt offers a lot in low light over the red dot only. The ACOG crossbow is the ultimate for me.

Re: Too many models to choose from??

Choices are good.

If I were restricted to only crossbows all the time, I’d have a faster, easier to handle top dog.

The lower speed martix series does all I need them to do.

Re: What REDS for the G340?

Mark, I’m trying to help someone else with their purchase concerning the G340. Concerning memory borrowing/theft, There are two types I can identify, one where the person seems unaware and another where the person could care less but places himself in another’s story, even in front of the person own...
