Re: Improving Accuracy

would have to agree with the other posters about shooting heavier tips. I switched to a Gold Tip Laser 3 bolt with 100 gr. brass insert and a 100 gr head. I can now shoot your eye out at 50 yds from a bench rest.

Re: Ordered a new Rifle, What Scopes?

You can't go wrong with Leupold. If you plan to keep that gun for the rest of your life, spend a little extra and get the vx 3 with a 50 or 56 mm objective lens and a 30 mm main tube. As you get older with poorer eyesight, you will look back and be glad that you bought the top of the line. I own 3 L...

Re: Expandables for Excal?

Am new to xbow hunting and have not shot anything with my equinox yet. I have however shot several hundred bolts at my target and can say with confidence that the Swhacker head flies just like my field points.Shooting from a bench-rest I put 6 out of 6 Swhacker shots in the bullseye of my Rinehart t...

Re: DAMN!!! i did it.....

I have the Rinehart block target. It will stop anything my equinox can launch down range. My only advise would be that you need a good arrow puller to remove them from the target. If you don't have a good one,try the one Danny Miller sells. It's the best I've used.

Re: Best Target For Broadhead Practice

the rinehart will stop them with no problem, but you better have one of Danny Miller's arrow pullers to get them out.The bolts are almost welded into the self sealing foam.

Re: Swhacker Broadheads

have not killed anything with my Swhacker's yet but I can tell you that they fly like my target points. I am shooting the 100 gr. 1 3/4 in. cut on Gold Tip Laser 3 bolt.

The guy was probably in there reading a hunting magazine and the poor bear probably got tired of waiting his turn.

Equinox is ready to go.

It's official. Spent the day tuning the twilight & Equinox. As a newbie to this sport,I can see why this type of hunting is addictive. The bow shoots incredible, despite not being in love with the feel of the trigger. I put 3 out of 4 bolts in the center of the bulls-eye at 50 yds.All I can say i...

Re: Love & hate my new Equinox

I bought a ton of stuff from Dan last week and talked to him on the phone 3 times but did not talk about triggers. If after a couple hundred shots and I am still not happy I will give Dan a call. Does Dan do trigger work or is the guru Boo the only true master.
