Re: My Sons Scores - First Crossbow Turkey
Great job!! Mighty tasty! I wish we still had the birds to justify a fall season, I loved chasin them things around! You should make a couple of wing bone calls for you and your son to remember the hunt!!!!

Re: My Daughter's Hunt This Morning!
Thanks fellas! Yes, I am very proud of her. She is 13 years old and loves to hunt with me. She is turning into a good hunter. My youngest daughter is 11 and killed her first last season. We eat a lot of wild game and I process every deer that we kill. It makes for a long and rewarding fall and winte...

My Daughter's Hunt This Morning!
It didn't start out really well as she missed an opportunity to shoot a very nice tall 8 point due to her red dot washing out her target at first legal shooting hours. Made me sick man!! He came in to 16 yds and just stood there begging to be shot. It was not to be I guess!! Anyway, fast forward 30 ...

Re: The New Rip Trick?
They remind me of the G5 small game heads. The wings on those seemed to be fragile to say the least. How do these do if you shoot thru or miss? Any broken arms? I would assume that they are made better than the G5's since you like them. I am interested in what you have to say about them as I enjoy t...

Re: Thoughts on wrapping the stirrup in paracord?+checkingSc
I wrapped mine with a very thin baseball/tennis racket grip first and then used paracord when I first got my bow. I put a thin piece of rubber between the stirrup and riser also. I was concerned about noise when I did it. I think that it helps some. I have since come to the conclusion that the noise...

Re: Fun with old guns
Ive got the Stevens 311 in .410 and I use it all of the time. It is my "go to" squirrel gun when I am hunting with my dogs! Whoever comes with me totes a .22 and gets to shoot em but if they miss I get to have a little fun. It will flat knock em out. A MEC .410 reloader came with it and I ...

Re: Evercalm
Heres a funny little story about our experience with Evercalm: I bought some at the start of season last year. I wanted to try and see if it would help mask our scent from a ground blind while hunting with my daughters. I put it on a tree in front of the blind. Had a group of does come in nice and c...
