Re: vortex stock seems noise
First thing is if you have a sling, the screws on the sling will dont seem to fully tighten up and rattle. The metal clip will also knock against the stock when walking ect. . Solution, wrap with tape. Second problem could be a loose screw or something on your scope or trigger assembly. Welcome! :D...

Re: cheek piece
welcome to the vortex club!. the cheek piece is part feel and function. some people even with guns have no problem adjusting to where a scope is in relation to your eye but it usually envolves sliding your cheek up with the side of the stock ending up closer to your chin. your scope and ring height ...

Re: Dryfire mechanism
The trouble is, it sounds like you are going to rely on this device. Yes it worked as tested, but it is a mechanical device and a mechanical device will fail, you just never know when. People the only safe way to handle a crossbow or gun is to always pay attention to what you are doing. Always foll...

Re: Dryfire mechanism
I am going to buy one and take the string stoppers and pads off to get the weight off the front of the bow. Sounds like the way to go to me. And the price is comparable to the STS. Is there a link to purchase from? Thanks for the review! i shoot my vixen with no pads or sts stoppers but my equinox ...

Re: cheek piece for Excal
i believe all the non thumbhole stocks wont work with the cheek pieces. should be a recent post where someone cut out material to make it fit.then you have to drill and tap one screw hole. you could retro fit a thumbhole stock to your vixen ii and the cheekpiece will pop right on :) . i just did min...

Re: Vixen II or Ibex?
i must be odd duck. i cant tell much a difference pulling any of them back. i adjust my rope cockers that they hook up pulling the string back quite a bit though.got a vortex last year and been shooting the equinox mostly this season. the last few hunts ive been using the vixen. maybe because of the...

Re: Thumbhole vs Traditional stock
owning both styles they both have there faults.like the others i hate the reach for the safety on the thumbhole. the other style stock is too short. they also have cheek height issues. its almost like you gotta buy the stock extender and cheek piece right from the start. i own 2 other brands of cros...

Re: Question for anyone that owns Treelounge tree stands
did he put the leveler on the wrong side? i too love the chinese version because of its light weight but replaced the back bars with the square type because they grab better. the rounded design edge on the china version to me breaks away too fast and doesnt bite as deep to me. so glad your friend is...
