Re: Question for anyone that owns Treelounge tree stands
i own several of these in different versions as well as friends have them. never a problem. there are basically 3 types. the original,-the super light weight chinese version when the company got sold, and the new version the original owners bought back that is a little bit lighter version of the ori...

Re: Which scope covers/caps??
most flip opens from butler creek pop open if you look at them the wrong way. i dont understand why they dont make the locking groove deeper and hold better. not a perfect replacement but if you check out the cva bushwacker flip opens they lock and click in a little better. the butler creek ive used...

Re: Hawke crossbow scopes
i like the excaliburs better. the reticle lines are way too fine on the hawkes especially at the critical minutes of dawn and dusk. the only thing is they are smaller in size but the varizone is a perfect fit for the size of the excalibur crossbows.

i think you should give the leupold yosemites 8x30 a try.very compact. a definate workhorse.they go for under 100$. you could put the other 100$ saved tword more gear. i own a set of 10-x42 gold ring leupold 7 power switchpowers and buris lanmarks but always grab the yosemites first when hunting.

ups has automatic 100$ coverage. ive had issues before with both ups and fed ex. you can pay for extra insurance but from what ive found it will be near impossible to collect. they will always claim it wasnt packed properly. the package doesnt look double boxed or a wood frame to protect from crushi...

Re: Rust on the Excal
i really wish gun and bow manufacturers would get with the times and use rust proofing on screws. it cant add that much to the final price. even stainless will rust but its better than nothing. some people use bow wax smeared on the screws but i hate any maintanence. i usually send screws out for te...

a torque wrench is a great investment. takes a little worry out of things.aluminum rings need only like 15 lbs. and are easy to strip out. i use the wheeler engineering fat wrench. i call the mounts that come with bows cheapos. have had many similar mounts on guns in the past and had a few fail. im ...

break cleaner will eat any camo dip finish you have on your gun. i use hoppes with the copper cleaner in the black bottle. still cover any plastics or camo finish.

"these excaliburs are cumbersome in the stand but i make do. Cumbersome??? try one of the wheeled competitor models at 12-13 lbs loaded. I'll take my lightweight Excalibur anyday. i dont think they weigh that much anymore. i picked up a horton trt ultalight. it weighs 6.5 pounds. its an absolu...
