Another thing to watch on smell is when you walk in try not to brush against any bushes (tough chore for Canidians in the bush). That will leave your tell tale smell for every deer in the area to pick up on. Oh yes, wear rubber boots that you use for NOTHING else. I keep mine in a bag with baking so...

If you are just talking about the skull plate, you just skin it just like you did the deer. Scrape and cut away all the meat (not a whole lot there) and salt heavily. If you are doing the whole skull (Euro style) then you have to skin the whole head amd boil the head until the meat is falling off th...

1) Go in early

2) Stay late

3) Hunt food sources

4) Keep noise and smell to a minimum

5) Stay as stationary as possible

6) Keep shots within your range

7) Pick a spot on the deer to aim

Follow through with your shot - keep aiming after the shot

9) ENJOY yourself!!

Here is what I shoot -

4 inch flourescent green vanes on 2213s tipped with a Wasp 100 grain SST Hammer fixed blade.

There is no way to completely eliminate odor on clothes. Some will swear by the Scent Shield type products.

Others will put their clothes in a bag with pine needles/boughes.

Me? I'd just hunt smart and play the wind in my favor at all times.
