Re: Reducing scent
I use Atsko or DeadDownWind to wash my hunting clothing once it is dry I put them in one of those space bags and get all the air out. Store them like that until hunting season. If possible wait or one of those good downpours and hand them up outside in the woods while it rains. Let them dry and back...

Re: New to Excalibur Crossbows
Welcome to the Excalibur Crossbow "family" lots of knowledge and experience here to let you make good choices regarding the equipment to use with your crossbow. I would not have had the success I had last year if it were not or the information shared threads/posts. Don't worry about the hu...

Re: Are we nuts?
I don't think it's because we are nuts that I think about the faster/greater/newer xbows as something needed to hunt with. It seems like with anything companies are adding more options, bigger motors, extra lumbar support. I was reading an article about the first $100,000 truck geared towards guys w...

Re: The Thunder is back in the house!!!
I keep telling myself I don't need a backup to my M405. Then I think which model would I want to buy to back it up- bulldog400, another 405, 380, or 355. One of those 2017 405's would be nice, I had better not get on ebay until they are all sold out.

Re: Twilight DLX
I just took mine off and these are the numbers on the inside of the Butler Creek flip up caps: 5-6 for the rear bell and 9 for the front bell. The front cover does not fit tight when compared to the rear one. They are definitely not my Leupold screw on covers but do the job. I bought the blizzard cl...

Game Camera Camo
Does anyone have any ideas for camouflaging game cameras to prevent theft? I normally F26 bark to my bear boxes but I am looking to improve blending them into the tree. Have not had one stolen yet but I know the lock needs addressing. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

Re: Can I use longer bolts?
I started shooting 22 inch FMJ out of my M405; they fell great very accurate. Now I shoot 20 inch BEE, plan on buying Zombies or Spynal Tapps they will be 20 inches. Maybe my reasoning is wrong but a longer bolt should be more stable in flight but will flex more so a stiffer bolt is needed. Remember...

Re: Nice rub pic!
That is a nice rub; hope you get a chance at putting an arrow through the buck that made it next year. I went out last weekend; no sheds. Looked through my pictures and last year it was March when I started seeing one horned bucks running around. I will head out in a week or two.

Re: Excalibur EX-PAC crossbow backpack
I don't have an Excal ex-pac but I do use my Crooked Horn non-typical pack, designed for a compound, for my xbow. It has 4 straps that hold it in place and two pouches for gear. My first Crooked Horn non-typical pack was purchased over 20 years ago. The only wear is the inside liner is falling a par...

Re: TRYING HEAVIER BOLTS
I started shooting 22 inch FMJ out of my M405 with 150 grain broadheads and standard inserts. They were extremely accurate; but at 40 yards they started to drop a lot. I then cut them down to 18.5 inches still shooting the 150 grain broadheads and standard inserts but I noticed the accuracy declined...

They have delivered excellent service twice for me. I include that when someone asks me what I like about my M405.

Re: So Maybe
Dan if I ever see one at Cabelas again on clearance for 699.00 I plan on buying it. That and my M405 will be all I need. I only thing next to buy will be a coin (same sided) to toss to see which one gets to go to the woods that day. Heck, forget the coin I will buy another hook and take both!

Re: NuFletch lighted nocks
Sorry or the delay in responding. I bent the plastic housing by pulling it out of the bolt and twisting at the same time. I have applied a small amount of serving wax and now they come out easy.
