Thanks guys that is good news, 100 yard shots!
I am planning to stick to one magnfication around 3 or 4 power for most shooting, which equates to what I use with 22 magnum at the same ranges. So I am hoping that simplifies calibration of these things.

scope/system for 100 yards with a 380
Hi guys is 350-360fps( matrix 380 say with 400-425grain bolts) fast enough to get 100 yards using the HHA optimiser? I see in the reviews it has some 'dial' left after 80 yards usually... wondered if there is enough to handle the drop that would occur at 100 yards?? Also would the hawke XB30 also en...

economy option arrows/broadheads
Hi guys for a 380 what might be the cheapest brand/type in arrows and broadheads for general hunting if I was happy to stay around 400-425 grains. I am figuring out some costs here in Australia where I will be (hopefully) shooting a lot of our feral species if I get the 380. And wanted something tha...

dunking a matrix
Hi guys, maybe a crazy question but for arguments sake could a cocked matrix be dunked completely in water, for example if I fell of a log or rock in the forest, or decided to swim across a creek and then fired?

Re: Slooowww 380
Jus like factory ammo in a rifle . . . it says 3000 fps but through a chrony (3 different) 2882 fps . . I understand your example but would hate to think Excalibur is utilising that style of advertising. With ammo companies there were always those that overstated loads(weatherby magnum) for example...

Re: spare limbs 380/405
interesting well this actually answered an older thread of mine when I asked about differences between 380 and 405 reliability. I got a lot of good advice over a couple pages but probably could have answered my own question if I knew they were all using the same limbs. Obviously a faster matrix bow ...

Re: spare limbs 380/405
So if limbs are the same, regards releases of new and more powerful bows in the matrix line, it has not been about engineering more power in anyway apart from stretching the same limbs further???
