Re: Firebolts Vs GT laser II
When the Vortex first came out, I forget the year, the Right Stuff Package came with the GT's. They shot so good, I bought more and that's all I have. I use the same set up as DaGriz and dead on center can not be beat. Why change?

Re: Wounded Warrior Hunt
removed my Slick Trick and replaced it with a Swacker. Is Swacker one of their sponsors? I think so. I signed along with a group that is being organized through the Florida Deer Farmers Assoc to do some to do some fishing trips and hunts with Wounded Warriors and haven't heard back yet. Guess it ta...

Wounded Warrior Hunt
This past weekend, I was honored to assist on a Wounded Warrior Hunt which was held in Adams County, Ohio. Our Christian Outdoor Ministries Group in Crossville, Tennessee put on the hunt and 7 of us made the 300+ mile trip to Ohio. We have done about 10 of these WWH's. There were 3 Wounded Warriors ...

Re: Hearing enhancers
Scott, I use the Walker Game Ear HD. It works well on enhancing sound. The only knock I have on them is the direction which you think the game or sound is truly coming from. Sounds like the left coming from the right. Money is tight but two is the way to go. That is to get true since of direction. ...

Re: deer cart
I got one of the $50 HEAVY carts from Sportsman's Guide and it feels a lot heavier than 28#. Good on flat hard ground with no limbs or rocks. Pulling through sand in North Florida, forget it!! I just ordered a KL deer sled from Wayfair for $35 delivered. It looks like it'll do the job.

Lost a Lease
My hunting buddy and I have had a 200 acre lease for 6 years, which renews yearly in September. Got a call from the guy a couple of weeks ago and asked if we would mind if he added "some" guys who wanted to rifle hunt. I told him we would prefer to keep it to ourselves as we haven't killed...

Re: ThermaCell Question
I got one when they were first introduced cause skeeters love me, 4-5 yrs. ago??? I have always used mine hanging vertically when hunting from a tree stand, never had a problem and it words just fine. If I'm in a ground blind, I just lay it on the ground under my chair. Maybe I got one that does'nt ...

Re: Pennco feeder
The 2 clogs my 30 gal. E-Z fill had were from corn cob pieces. For my 6 !/2 gal. Moultrie, I made a "funnel" out of thin metal flashing more for emptying the barrel than for clogs.

Are you using the bail on the bucket to attach the hoist or something else, can't tell from the picture.

Re: How To Remove Inserts
I've used heat with the epoxy that I normally use but this is a "super glue" so I don't think heat will work. I was curious if there was a solvent I could squirt up there. TC I've tried everything to get inserts and nocks out that have Gorilla Blue Top on them and they don't budge. When I...

Re: Deer Corn
I looked at the Pennco feeder and like the design. Dumps 2# of corn on each cycle. I'm close to ordering the 1 dump in 24 hours model and mount it to a 20 gallon plastic barrel. If anyone has one of the Pennco's, how well does it work?

Re: Glue removal tool
I have a Zip Strip and a Eze-Strip knife. I prefer the Eze-Strip, about 1/5 the cost of the Zip Strip, blades are replaceable, easier to handle, for me. It's nothing more than a utility knive with a round notch in the blade that fits the bolt.

Going to the Co-op this morning to get 10 bags. If it's over the $9 I paid 2 weeks ago, I'll post the price.

Re: Year of the Corn
2 weeks ago, corn was $9 and $10 respectively at the Co-op and TSC. I mix corn and Golden Deer Nuggets and feed all year long. I have had a bale of Alfalfa hay out for a while and they have started eating that. The timer on the feeder is cut back to 1/2 of what it was due to the coons and tree rats....
