I started with a Savage 340B, in 30-30, Then, my Dads, 740 Rem in 30-06, then a Browning in 270 WSM, and now last 5 years a Browning in 300 WSM. I like the 270WSM the best but the 300WSM puts them down!

Hope you have help poping in that point. Some times easy and other not so easy. Keep the pipe connections tight, check them often! Rocks and hard pan will slow you down.Enjoy!

If your serving broke on backside, there is a chance you are overcocking it. Pulling it after if is cocked may cut the serving against the trigger unit. Listen for the click saying that it is cocked pull no more. Just a thought.

You said the serving separated and broke. Where? Front side or the back? Welcome to the forum.
