Re: Time to start checking that string.

It's time for me to replace the string on my Exocet 200 and I can't remember for the life of me if I have to twist the new endless loop string at all or not before installing it. Common sense tells me to twist it some but I can't find anything in the instructions saying to or not. I figured this wou...

Re: Zeon Fusion Vanes 2.1" and 3"

This might be a dumb question but I'll ask it anyway...has anyone ever fletched arrows without a fletching jig? I just got a free sample of 9 of these Zeon Fusion Vanes and I wanted to put them on 3 of my Easton Powerbolts to see how I like them, however I don't have a jig and I've never fletched an...

Or football either for that matter. :P

I can't believe the Saints have looked so good this year. It sure would be nice if they could win it all!

That's a great idea for keeping good spots less noticeable! I hunted a new to me spot on public land one afternoon last season and when I climbed down after dark and turned on my headlamp there were "eyes" looking back at me. Those "eyes" turned out to be reflective tacks...

Team Alabama Check-in

Chris, Sipsey, or anyone else from Alabama had any success yet this year? It's been a frustrating season so far for me because I have not been hunting but once on opening day. I saw a few does but none presented a shot opportunity. I have been kept busy with work and renovating a room in my house fo...

Thanks Exomaxer. I can't wait to start practicing with mine when it comes in. I need to read John's book as well. I've read his praise about the tree saddle on a couple of forms and that helped my decision to get one. It will benefit me tremendously on the public land I hunt.

That was my thoughts too Pydpiper. I have spent countless hours reading about them on different forums so I finally decided to get off the fence and get one.

HaHa grizz! I hope this thing is as comfortable as advertised because I'm a decent sized guy at 6-2, 240 lbs.

Any Tree Saddle Users?

Just wondering if anyone here hunts from a tree saddle? I just bought one from the classifieds over at archerytalk that I plan on using later in the season once I get some practice in. It should be fun!

Very nice one on one pic Bob..Where did you get the "butternut" scent ? I do know a guy who says the deer eat his squash and pumpkins so why not. :) She looks a lot bigger in the picture than she was. She was only around 70 or 80 pounds or so and I just couldn't bring myself to shoot her....

Great discussion...just what I was after, however I think some misunderstood my question a little bit. Hunting the wind is a no-brainer but even with that I know y'all aren't out there hunting after bathing with musk scented soap, wearing clothes washed in lavender scented detergent, and wearing you...

Scent Free Products

I thought it would be interesting to start a thread to see what "scent free" products everyone uses for deer season. I'm interested in deodorants, soaps and shampoos, clothes wash, etc. The Hunter's Specialties and other brands marketed towards hunters are just too expensive for my liking ...
