Are the rubber bands necessary? I have the regular 100 grain spitfires that I planned on using and heard rubber bands were not needed. Thanks

My new crank I just bought a few weeks ago have the hooks go under the string.

Get the crank. I'm only 38 years old and need it temporarily while my bicep tendon heals. You can always sell it.
