Re: arrow question

Give Jerry Ratliff at South Shore Archery Supply a call. Tell him which Xbow you've got, which broadhead you want to shoot, and he'll get you set up with the perfect bolt that will shoot same POI as your field points.

Re: Tact Zone Scope Covers????

Thanks for this info! Been wondering this myself. The covers that come on the Tact Zone are junk.

Re: New String

I've purchased multiple Flemish strings from Keith Will (forum name nchunterkw).
I especially like how the tag ends of the Flemish strings fray after firing to create additional sound/vibration suppression and increase velocity.

Leupold or Vortex?

I'm looking to swap the Dead Zone from my Micro with something new, and am seeking feedback. I've pretty much narrowed my choices down to a Leupold Crossbones or a Vortex Viper Crossbow. I've read ample positive reviews about the Leupold, and am a long time Leupold user and fan. But I'm also a Vorte...

Re: Total arrow weight for micro 335 users??

18" BEEs, 110gr brass insert, 3" shield cut vanes set 1 1/8" forward and RH offset, 125gr field points and Muzzy 125's.
Broadheads hit same POI as field points and can't hold same spot to 50 yards without damaging bolts

Re: Best Matrix Series Crossbow Poll

I have been pleasantly surprised by the Grizzly. No blistering speed, but light and very accurate. For the money, it's a dandy!
I also own a Micro and a 380. Love the Micro, probably going to sell the 380. Too bulky, and more power than necessary for the white tails we hunt around here.

Re: Hit a buck need advice

If you got in far enough to get one lung you'll find him in a bloody bed if you give him ample time to lay up and expire without being pushed. Sneak out of there and come back after lunch. I'd give him at least four hours. If he's not dead after that amount of time then his wound likely isn't going ...

You seem as if you just want to stir controversy? Or are you just a special kind of stupid? I hunt fo...

Re: Fawns, and beef prices

I won't shoot fawns. Only shoot does when it seems to make sense for proper management. Don't "need the meat", I live five minutes from the grocery store. Hunting isn't about killing deer, it's about proper herd management. Harvest the older deer that are no longer beneficial to the herd ...

Re: Help me mod my 380

Paracord on the stirrup and a well made Flemish string will help in reducing noise and vibration.
