Re: String for the Axiom
Thanks Cossack I'll look into it. where is the best place to buy? Danny Miller, USA warranty rep who also makes all the strings for Excal [740] 483-2312. Be forewarned, the factory FFF will creep like crazy when new compared to the one that came w/ bow, and is much less forgiving on a dryfire. Same...

Re: Boo string?
I got curious and read a few old posts. From what I read you can actually gain or lose speed depending on which riser you use. Straight riser on my vortex would slow it down. Is that correct?

Re: Boo string?
What is the difference? I thought all the excals had basically the same risers on them. I shoot a new Vortex, which is it?onebigskittle wrote:It makes a difference if you have a straight riser verses a limb forward riser...thats why he ask for the info he ask for when you order your string.

Re: How hard is it to......
Forgot about this on pervious post. I had double hernia surgery in my groin on Feb. 1 and bought my Vortex 2-9. Started shooting it around the 15th. Did not even think about the Doctor limiting me to 15 lbs. of weight. I saw him on the 23rd and he about had a fit when I told him I was shooting the b...

Re: Flemish string problem
Been shooting bows over 50 years. I assure you it was twisted correctly. I am pretty new to crossbows, not archery.Cossack wrote:Flemish strings should be twisted up in the same direction as the serving is wound, doing so tightens the serving. Could it be that was not the case?

Re: How hard is it to......
I was shooting a Parker 175 lb. compound and recently purchased a Vortex 200 lb Excal. I was worried about cocking the excal cause I have a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder. I found that there is not much noticable difference at all in between cocking the two bows using a cocking rope. At 225 ...

Re: Ibex accurate to 180 Meters !
Is this like lawn darts with crossbows? Looks like a lot of fun. I think you would have done good with the Equinox if you had aimed at about 75 degree's up. I got almost 400 yds. at 45 degrees. Hank I shot an arrow in the air It came to earth I know just where Though aimed at a buck t...
