Danny Miller Arrow Puller

I just received my arrow puller from Normous. I want to thank everyone who told me this puller was a MUST HAVE. You all were right. I simply do not have the strength in my hands anymore to extinguish my Lumenoks and can barely get my arrows/broadheads out of my Block target. This thing is a GOD send...

Re: Maintenance tips for crossbows

I was a police armorer for years and there was one rule that every armorer's class mentioned. NEVER use WD-40 on your firearms. WD stands for Water Displacing and it leaves a lacquer-type residue behind that can only be cleaned off by.....more WD-40 :-) This rule was shared by Armalite, Bushmaster,...

Re: Maintenance tips for crossbows

WD-40.......I’ve been working at an oil refinery for the past 22.5 years. We use every kind of penetrating oil, lubricating oil, rust protection products you could even imagine. These next statements are personal observations and have nothing to do with the place where I work other than we use some ...

Re: Water Holes for Deer

Many years ago I found a water hole in the woods while archery hunting with a bunch of heavily used trails coming to it, OH BOY! I put a tree stand there for gun season and didn't see hide nor hair of a single deer. Guess they were too busy evading other hunters to come for water, seemed like there...

Re: CROSSBOWS AND HUNTING DOGS

If you ever get a chance to read one of Steve Smiths books you should. He is a great writer of Upland Bird dogs and Wing shooting. One of his best short stories that I love he discusses how he justifies buying a beautiful side by side. He does this because he doesn’t eat big Mac’s or something like ...

Re: CROSSBOWS AND HUNTING DOGS

I agree, dogs and crossbows are the least expense of hunting. However that's were the similarity ends. Dogs need food, attention and constant care. The more dogs one has the more the bills increase. However, crossbows don't mind being left alone, once they are bought and paid for, only a few consum...

CROSSBOWS AND HUNTING DOGS

It just came to me Crossbows are like hunting dogs. The crossbow and the pup are the least expert of the game. All the accessories that go with these 2 things increase Exponentially! Labrador puppy $1000-2500 1 year of quality dog food $1000/year, vet bills for 10 years $2000. Boat, motor, decoys, s...

Re: ADJUSTING Boltcutter B.A.T. 150 Grain

Over the years, I found with any fixed blade broadhead that the most important thing is to make sure that they spin without any wobble. Lining them up with the vanes, will not necessarily improve accuracy. However, by doing so, it should make the arrow more streamline, reducing drag. Also having al...

Re: First 4 Broadhead Shots Micro 355

How much fun was it to pull the arrows out? Ive had a better times lol. I bought that Lumenok puller/extinguisher didn't work for Sh!t! lol. Likely needing the Danny puller. I tell you those Lumenoks for me are almost impossible to turn off. I don't have the strength in my hands. The only way I was...

Re: First 4 Broadhead Shots Micro 355

What kind of rest were you using, table, sticks, etc? I had a good rest. One of those portable, fold able work/saw hoarse benches and a leather rabbit ear bag up front. I was sitting on a wooden bench. I just adjusted the broadhead in question in comparison to the others it was not lined up the sam...
