I've noticed in numerous locations around here that we have an awesome acorn crop this year. It's the best I have seen in at least 10 years. That probably explains why I'm seeing so many deer in the woods even though there are corn and soybean fields nearby. All of the deer are staying in the woods....

That reminds me, I need to resharpen my hunting knife.

Way to put'em down Smoke. Nice early season buck. I've used my dog on four recoveries and they are just amazing to watch. If they are big enough eat venison they are old enough to track it.
