Re: Fixed broadheads

Either weight should work then, but you'll still need to shoot them to see if they're accurate enough for your needs. X2. Never assume any broadheads will impact like field points. ALWAYS shoot them to make sure. What he said^^^ Always get extra broad heads to practice with. I have had great...

Check your crossbow!!

I have been shooting my Axiom about every other day for the last two weeks because bow season opens the 13th. It has been shooting great, but I noticed today it was making a funny noise while shooting it. So I started looking at all the screws and limbs and noticed that one of the four small screws ...

Re: Kids and crossbows

My son Colton is pretty small for his age(12), so I built a small table for the pop-up blinds and use a folding bi-pod on the front of the crossbow. It just clamps on the sling swivel at the front. Made the table low enough that with the bi-pod it came up to about the right height to shoot out of t...

Kids and crossbows

So I have a Axiom and love it. So this year I told my 11 yr old daughter and my almost 8 yr old son that if they practiced and showed me they could shoot good I would let them try for there first deer. We hunt out of pop up blinds and have together for last couple of years. I have a Primos trigger s...

Re: What am I doing wrong?

Take the string off and install it without any twists (do not shoot it without twists). If it is a factory string and it is still too high then it just needs to be shot to elongate the string. Put 4 or 5 twists in the string and start shooting. When you're done your shooting session store the bow w...

Re: What am I doing wrong?

Can you post a picture or two of what you're working with? Or if you email them to me I'll post your pics, might help to see what you've got going on. Turning CCW adds twists and shortens the string, which in turn raises brace height even more. Untwisting (turning clockwise) lengthens the string an...

I have only shot it about 50 times. I do not think the guy that I got it from shot it much at all. Do you know what string length is stock on the Axiom?

Swamp Donky wrote:Sounds like the string is too short :?:
Thanks Swamp Donky. It is shooting great out to 40 yards as it is. So I may just leave it alone and hunt with it like it is. Deer season starts here on the 13th.

Re: What am I doing wrong?

Who knows what string is on it? Looking at the string, turn it left over top, just like loosening a standard screw. How is the serving? If it is good, and the twist direction mentioned tightens it up, and shortens brace height, winning! Shoot it, if not, get two strings from somewhere that are the ...

What am I doing wrong?

I have a Axiom. The other day I asked you guys about string twist and BH. So I measured my BH and it was 1 1/2". I have the 5S rubber stoppers on the bow. I tried to twist the string like you guys said to shorten my BH by turning the string CCW. But it makes the BH worse. I tired turning it CW ...
