My Equinox and Vortex have been Teflon coated, the entire mainframe/rail actually. Speed picked about 3-5 fps and string wax doesn't stick to it.

No, The scope is held tight by scope rings which attach to the scope mount which attaches to the top of the Excalibur rail. I use (blue) LocTite on all screws of a crossbow, albeit the scope ring screws are the least of my concern. Those holding trigger housing to stock most important to keep from loosening. Only on the 4 small screws that hold the scope mount on. Those seem to be the ones that may come loose most frequently. Use the blue (removable) Lock-tite only.

My lifted F150 gets me around no problem in thw winter. The Shelby gets me around much faster in the summer.
